Case of The 27's
While I've been gone, I also designed marketing material for the Monocle Eclectic Dance Company's show, Case of the 27's, which explores the lives and careers of artists who have passed away at the age of 27. Katie was also amazing to work with, and it was really wonderful coming up with a visual marketing aesthetic that worked so well for her and the performance.
Chicago Repertory Ballet logos
Wow, freelance certainly swept me away for a moment!
I've recently completed two of the freelance projects I've been working on this spring; one of them being this logo design for Chicago Repertory Ballet. It was a joy working with Wade on this project, and I'm happy to share my work with both him and his future audiences.

Scary Facts about Space start again next week!
Hello all!
I had to run out of town for a funeral last week, unfortunately, and thus wasn’t able to make a scary space fact. Expect two next Wednesday!
I've also got some exciting new projects that I just finished up for clients, so stay tuned for a peek!

Scary Facts about Space: Pluto
Filed under: "it's pretty much impossible to find a good picture of Pluto."
Instead of being the lonely outcast (as some woot shirts will have you believe), I imagine Pluto as being the wild child of our solar-system family. The sun will try to neatly corral its other children into nice concentric, parallel orbits, and then here comes Pluto pulling this nonsense. That isn't the behavior of an outcast, it’s of a rebel who Does What It Wants™. (Or a stray from the Kuiper Belt, but whatever. I’m not going to get into that right now and ruin this beautiful character I have in my mind).
...I’m going to draw this next week.
